AR with HTML
How can we make programming AR accessible to all levels of experience?

Can we make programming Augmented Reality applications accessible to everyone?
Roles: Curriculum Development & Educator
Built in collaboration with Zoe Bachman, the AR with HTML workshop and tutorial were a part of Wix Playground Presents: a curated collection of online workshops, talks, and portfolio reviews, by creatives for creatives.
The workshop and tutorial are designed to introduce learners to the process of creating AR experiences on the web using HTML and AR JavaScript with A-Frame. With less than 15 lines of HTML code, learners can use 2D objects as triggers for AR content, enabling them to create immersive experiences without installing any applications on their phone. The workshop is suitable for learners without any prior experience with HTML, but a curious mindset is encouraged. The project is a collaboration between ChatGPT and Zoe Bachman and is part of Wix Playground Presents, a collection of online workshops, talks, and portfolio reviews by creatives for creatives.

“Do you want to make Augmented Reality experiences for the web?
You can, and in less than 15 lines of HTML! Seriously, it’s so simple! In this workshop we will use AR.js, with a little bit of a-frame magic sprinkled in, to use 2D design to trigger AR content. We will design our own AR markers and augment using our phones, without installing any applications! ”
